AI Office
Establishes the European AI Office within the Commission to support the implementation, monitoring and enforcement of the Act, particularly for general-purpose AI models, and to coordinate Member State authorities.

Establishment and Structure of the European Artificial Intelligence Board
Creates the AI Board composed of one representative per Member State (with the EDPS as observer) to advise the Commission and ensure consistent application of the Act across the Union.

Tasks of the Board
The Board contributes to coordination, exchange of expertise and best practices, harmonised administrative practices, and issues recommendations and opinions to the Commission and Member States.

Advisory Forum
Establishes a multi-stakeholder advisory forum (industry, start-ups, SMEs, civil society, academia) to provide technical expertise and input to the Board and the Commission.

Scientific Panel of Independent Experts
Creates a scientific panel of independent experts to support the AI Office and national authorities in detecting and assessing systemic risks of general-purpose AI models.

Access to the Pool of Experts by the Member States
Allows Member States to call on experts from the scientific panel to support enforcement activities, with the costs covered through Commission arrangements.
