Penalties
Administrative fines — up to €35M or 7% of global turnover for prohibited practices, €15M or 3% for breaches of obligations, and €7.5M or 1% for incorrect or misleading information.

Penalties
Tiered administrative fines: up to €35M or 7% of global annual turnover for non-compliance with Article 5 prohibitions; up to €15M or 3% for non-compliance with most other provider/deployer obligations; up to €7.5M or 1% for supplying incorrect, incomplete or misleading information. Member States must lay down rules on penalties effective, proportionate and dissuasive.

Administrative Fines on Union Institutions, Bodies, Offices and Agencies
Allows the European Data Protection Supervisor to impose administrative fines on Union institutions, bodies and agencies that breach the Act, with reduced caps (up to €1.5M for prohibited practices; €750k for most other breaches).

Fines for Providers of General-Purpose AI Models
The Commission may impose fines on providers of general-purpose AI models — up to 3% of annual worldwide turnover or €15M (whichever is higher) — for breach of Chapter V obligations or failure to comply with AI Office measures.
